December 19-20, Baku will host the fifth session of the Parliamentary Assembly of GUAM.
As the press service of the Azerbaijani Parliament said, this is the most representative meeting of the Assembly in the history of this body.
In addition to the delegations of GUAM - Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, the meeting will include representatives of the Baltic Parliamentary Assembly, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Benelux countries, the parliamentary dimension of the process of cooperation in South East Europe, the Visegrad Group and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic states.
The agenda of GUAM PA includes European integration of GUAM, cooperation in the framework of the "Eastern Partnership", the role of inter-parliamentary relations in regional and international security, the development of the energy potential of GUAM and GUAM countries' participation in Europe's energy security, the development of cooperation in the humanitarian and scientific and technical fields. - 03D06 -
