Court of Appeal upholds R.Mirkadyrov in custody
Baku/25.04.14/Turan : Baku Court of Appeal chaired by Faig Gasimov dismissed the appeal of the journalist Rauf Mirkadirov, who challenged his arrest. According to the lawyer Fuad Agayev, Mirkadyrov categorically denied the charge of treason in the form of espionage in favor of Armenia against him.
"The Court has once again shown its opposition to the laws and the lack of independence," said Agayev.
Mirkadyrov was detained in Baku on April 19 by the MNS after deportation from Turkey. On April 21 he was arrested for three months. -06B--
