France`s anti–Azerbaijani efforts are doomed to failure - Foreign Ministry
Baku/04.10.23/Turan: The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry condemned and rejected the unfounded accusations by French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna against Baku on October 3 during a press conference in Yerevan.
The Foreign Ministry's commentary recalls that for almost 30 years France has not attached importance to the mass expulsion of Azerbaijanis as a result of the Armenian aggression from their native lands, the commission of war crimes and mass killings against them.
Now, without any grounds and contrary to the statements of representatives of the UN, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and other international structures, he is trying to mislead the international community by claiming that the Armenian residents who voluntarily left the region were allegedly forcibly evicted.
The Foreign Ministry also drew attention to France's intentions to arm Armenia, to drag it back into aggression and military adventure against Azerbaijan. "France must understand that these efforts are doomed to failure, as are all its attempts to intervene in our region. France's statements about its support for Armenia, as well as the fact that it is the initiator of the UN Security Council meetings, once again prove that the statements about neutral mediation voiced by it over the past almost 30 years are absolutely not sound," the document further notes.
Despite the confirmation by international organizations and the Prime Minister of Armenia that Azerbaijan's anti-terrorist activities did not pose a threat to peaceful Armenian residents, the French minister called Azerbaijan's legitimate step on its sovereign territories a "crime".
France's incompetent policy in the region leads to its collapse in the region, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry believes. ----06B----
