Mammadyarov Discusses Lapshin Case with Ambassador of Russian Federation
The Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov held a meeting with the RF Ambassador Vladimir Dorokhin on the case of the blogger Alexander Lapshin extradited from Minsk.
“We have received a note from the Russian and Israeli embassies in this regard. On Thursday-Friday, the Russian Consul will meet with Lapshin in accordance with the Vienna Convention. The embassy will have access to communicate with him. We now solve purely technical details. There are no obstacles,” RIA quoted Mammadyarov.
According to him, the question of the further fate of Lapshin will depend on the investigation. “He is charged under several articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The final decision will be made by the court,” he stressed. -02D-
