Members of the commission on delimitation of the state border of Georgia and Azerbaijan will visit David-Gareji
Baku / 18.06.19 / Turan: At the end of June, it is expected that experts of the commission on the delimitation of the state border of Georgia and Azerbaijan will visit the David-Gareji monastery, reported the Georgian Foreign Ministry spokesman Vladimir Konstantinidi, Georgian media reported.
Part of this monastery complex is located on the territory of Azerbaijan. Some time ago, a wave of mass actions took place in Georgia demanding to transfer this part of the territory of Georgia. In response, Azerbaijan closed access for Georgian pilgrims. After that, the parties agreed to create a general commission to resolve this situation. -02D-
