Transit of 128 kilo of heroin through Azerbaijan to Europe stopped
Baku/18.06.19/Turan: On June 18, Customs officers at the Bilasuvar checkpoint found and seized more than 128 kg of heroine in an Iveco truck that arrived from Iran.
The press service of the Customs Committee of Azerbaijan reports that the truck was in transit through Azerbaijan to Europe.
An empty truck was driven by a Turkish citizen Karatash Imdat. During the inspection of the car, a specially trained dog revealed the presence of drugs in the cabin of the car. When inspecting the car through X-rays, a specially made caches were seen under the driver"s seat. At autopsy, there were found 251 bags of heroin, weighing 128 kg, 689 grams.
