NIDA Activists Arrested for Three Months
On March 9, the court issued an arrest warrant - 3 months for three activists from the youth organization NIDA - Shahin Novruzov, Bakhtiyar Guliyev and Mammad Azizov, pending the investigation.
When the verdict was read, they had lawyers appointed by the authorities, and the parents of the young people were not informed about this and were not there.
The parents of the arrested so far have no official information on where their children are and what they are accused of.
Recall that DHS and prosecutors accused the aforementioned young activists of possessing illegal drugs and explosives. They face 3 to 5 years in prison.
Their parents say DHS put drugs and a fuel mixture in bottles to their apartments, and then accused the youths of the preparation of unrest, and arrested them on the planted evidence. -16/03B-
