Ilham Aliyev's trip to Khojavend and Fuzuli
Baku/05.05.23/Turan: President Ilham Aliyev made a trip to Khojavend region on May 5.
According to the website of the head of state, during the trip, Aliyev was informed about tourism projects being implemented in the village of Tug.
Aliyev took part in the laying of the administrative center and the first residential quarter. Then he got acquainted with the restoration of the secondary school in the village of Hadrut and participated in the ceremony of laying the administrative center.
Then he took part in the opening of 8.2 km section of the Shukurbeyli-Jabrail-Hadrut highway, as well as the opening of the "Govshag" electric substation and the "Digital Control Center".
After that, the head of state participated in the ceremonies of laying the villages of Pirahmedli and Dadali of the Fuzuli region, completely destroyed during the Armenian occupation and the opening of 12.3 km section of the Fuzuli-Hadrut road. -05D0-

According to the Turkish newspaper Sabah, officials from the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office's Anti-Smuggling Unit have detained an Azerbaijani citizen with a large shipment of gold. The detention took place near the Vadi İstanbul shopping center in the Sarıyer district, where a taxi was stopped. During the search, 70 kg of gold was found. The Azerbaijani citizen in the vehicle claimed ownership of the cargo and also stated that he was a diplomat. The investigation by the prosecutor's office is ongoing, reports Sabah newspaper. The media outlet does not disclose the name of the "diplomat," only his initials – M.G.Ş. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declined to comment on the situation.
