Baku /08.10.19 / Turan: Police accused the organizers of the opposition picket on October 8 of violating public order.
Police brought to justice 27 participants in a protest rally in Baku on October 8.
The Baku Main Police Department accused the organizers of the opposition picket on October 8 in Baku of violating the requirements of the Law on Freedom of Assembly.
According to the Baku Main Police Department, the organizers, despite their warning about the need to comply with legal requirements, brought more than 50 people to the picket, as required by law, and tried to conduct an "illegal march".

The attempts to hold a procession, accompanied by a violation of public order, and illegal actions, were suppressed.
17 people who violated the law and order were warned; a protocol on administrative misconduct was drawn up for four people.
In relation to five people who "without obeying the police tried to conduct the march, the materials of the administrative case will be sent to the court.
The actions of another person who was in a sober state and had a cold weapon with him would be given a legal assessment.
According to the opposition, about 30 people were detained during the rally. By 19:00, most of the detainees were released.
A picket demanding freedom of assembly was organized in front of the Baku City Hall by the opposition National Council of Democratic Forces and the Popular Front Party.
The police allowed 50 people to the picket site.
The police cordons were put up on adjacent streets. Law enforcement officers dispersed groups of people who wanted to take part in the rally, detaining the most active protesters.
