Political consultations with Germany in Baku
Baku / 23.01.18 / Turan: "Germany's position on the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict is unambiguous. Germany supports the settlement of the conflict on the basis of the principles of the Helsinki Final Act. " said during the political consultations between the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan and Germany in Baku, the Federal Foreign Office of Germany for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia, Andreas Peschke, according to a press release from the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry. At the consultations, Azerbaijan was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister KhalafKhalafov.
KhalafKhalafov expressed his satisfaction with the level of bilateral economic and cultural ties. Touching on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, he recalled the decision of the German government not to issue visas to representatives of the separatist regime. He said he highly appreciates Germany's support in the process of settling the conflict and the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
A.Peshke, in turn, noted that Germany during the chairmanship of the OSCE made efforts to achieve progress in the conflict settlement. Noting the significance of the 200th anniversary of the German settlements in Azerbaijan, celebrated in 2018, he said that various cultural events are planned within this date. The meeting discussed issues of the state of relations between Azerbaijan and the EU, readmission, migration issues. -0-
