Situation in Armenia Worsens: Pashinyan Threatens Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan with Arrest
Yerevan / 12.08.18 / Turan: Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan should be brought to trial for crimes committed against the people and for robbery of the country. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at a rally in Yerevan on September 11.
"I bear personal political responsibility for all arrests - unlike Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan, I do not hide behind the backs of law enforcers, and I am guided by the mandate given to me by the people," he said.
Pashinyan reported on the facts about the intentions of the second President Robert Kocharyan to introduce a state of emergency since February 23, 2008. "He withdrew troops from the Karabakh front, so they entered Armenia, leaving the front line without protection. This is proven. Who is he, if not a criminal and traitor to his homeland? The troops were ordered to fire at the windows of the buildings in Yerevan's Leo Street. In the government building, the bodyguards of the oligarchs were given special clothes for organizing provocations, including organizing a pogrom on March 1, 2008.
Kocharyan and Sargsyan turned the army into their mercenaries, and for the crimes committed they should be punished. They must be brought to justice for the robbery of the country.
On the personal account of Sargsyan's brother Sashik Sargsyan $ 30 million has been revealed only in the country's banks. He should return all the loot to the state budget to the last penny.
Robert Kocharyan is one of the richest people in the country. Only his son and daughter own one of the most fashionable hotels of the city. All of them will be responsible for the robbery of the country.
"The Robert Kocharyan family has billions, the Congress hotel belongs to the son and daughter of Kocharyan, the hotel costs several million dollars," he said. Pashinyan called to collect "stolen money" and "voluntarily return it to the people". In this case, he promised to discuss "with the people in the square" to forgive them or not. "If you do not do this, you will have great problems, no one will help you, and there is no power in the world that will help you. I will not spare my life for my people, and I'll go to the end," Pashinyan said.
On the same day, the Premier called a meeting of the Security Council, where he actually discussed the scenario of the actions of state structures in the conditions of the introduction of a military (emergency) situation.
"I instructed the National Security Service and the police to identify the organizers of this betrayal in the shortest possible time and subject them to the strictest liability. All groups that have illegal weapons will be disarmed. I instruct the police and the State Security Service from this moment to start raids and lay on the asphalt bodyguards of oligarchs and high-ranking officials and disarm everyone," Pashinyan said.
Robert Kocharyan reacted to these charges almost immediately, saying that the telephone conversation of the head of the Security Service and the Investigative Committee of Armenia proves that the prosecution of Kocharyan is ordered. -02D-
