The prosecutor asked to sentence Dubakov to 11 years in prison
Baku/13.07.21/Turan: Today, at the trial in the Baku Serious Crimes Court, in the case of the Russian citizen Eduard Sergeevich Dubakov, accused of terrorism, the state prosecutor made a closing remark, and asked to Dubakov to 11 years in prison with his subsequent expulsion from the country.
In turn, Dubakov's lawyer said that although Dubakov participated in military exercises in the territories occupied by Armenians, he did not participate in hostilities against the Azerbaijani army. The lawyer asked to consider this as a mitigating circumstance. The accused asked for time to prepare for the last word.
The next hearing is scheduled for July 22.
Dubakov is charged under the Articles of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan: 214-3.1 (terrorism, financing of terrorism), 218.2 (participation in a criminal community (criminal organization) or in uniting organizers, leaders or other representatives of organized groups), 318.2 (illegal crossing of the state border of the Republic of Azerbaijan). –16d06-
