The prosecutor"s office considers complaints of youth activists
The Prosecutor Office of Binagadi has begun an investigation of the facts of torture in the Binagadi jail of a member of the youth organization of the PPFA, Abulfaz Gurbanly, a member of the board of the civil movement "NIDA," Turgut Gambar, and a member of the organization "Azad Ganjlik," Ilkin Rustamzade. The investigation focuses on the claims by these individuals, Turan was told by PPFA. On September 4, these young men were summoned to the prosecutor's office where they gave testimonies. However, Ilkin Rustamzade could not give testimony, because he is currently under arrest.
On April 30, on the one year anniversary of the tragedy in the Oil Academy under the slogan "No to terror!", these activists were arrested for participation in unsanctioned actions, and were sentenced by the Nasimi court: Abulfaz Gurbanly and Turgut Gambar for 10 days, Ilkin Rustamzade, for 15 days.
They were kept in Binagadi jail. There they were shaved, and then photographed during cleaning. After that, these photos were exposed to the Internet in order to humiliate the young people -16B04-

Journalist Nargiz Abaslamova, held in Baku's Detention Center No. 1, was subjected to violence by a guard. While passing by the cell of her colleague Sevinj Vagifgizi, Abaslamova tried to greet her, reported on Abzas Media's Facebook page. However, guard Aygul Babaeva forcibly dragged Abaslamova away and deeply scratched the journalist's arm. Abaslamova stated that this is not the first time the mentioned guard has used force and been rude to journalists. A few days ago, Babaeva also used force against Sevinj Vagifgizi.
