The US does not recognize regime in Nagorno Karabakh
Baku/12.03.18/Turan: The U.S. Embassy to Azerbaijan in response to request of Turan News Agency to comment on a note of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan on the visit to the U.S. of the leader of separatist regime in Karabakh Bako Sahakyan said:
"The United States position remains unchanged. The United States does not recognize the de facto regime in Nagorno Karabakh, nor does any other country, including Armenia.
The US supports the OSCE Minsk Groups Co-chairs process and will continue to work towards a negotiated settlement based on the Helsinki Final Act principles of non-use of force, territorial integrity and the equal rights and self- determination of peoples". -0-

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times. According to relatives, the police conducted a search of her apartment.
