Two Picketers Arrested for 15 Days (Updated)
Baku /09.10.19 / Turan: By today"s decision of the Narimanov district court of Baku Elkhan Aliyev and Alizamin Salayev were sentenced to administrative arrest for a period of 15 days, the Popular Front Party reported. Both were found guilty under Article 535.1 (disobedience to the police) of the Code of Administrative Offenses. -05D06-

PFPA Reports on Police Custody of Two Party Activists
Baku /09.10.19 / Turan: Activists of the Popular Front Party Elkhan Aliyev and Alizamin Salayev detained the day before, according to data as of 12:00 on Wednesday, have not yet been released from the 16th branch of the Narimanov district police department. This was reported in PFPA.
According to the same source, the activists were detained several hours before the opposition picket and did not participate in the rally.
The picket was held near the building of the Executive Power of Baku with the requirement of ensuring freedom of assembly. At the same time, the police restricted the passage to the rally building and dispersed several groups of protesters, detaining about 30 of the most active. Most of them were released yesterday.
According to the metropolitan police, administrative protocols on non-subordination to representatives of law enforcement agencies were drawn up for 5 people and materials regarding them will be sent to the courts.
A legal assessment will also be given to the actions of another participant in the rally, who was drunk and had a knife, the police said. -06D-
