Visit of the Prime Minister of Latvia
The Latvian Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis, arrived on November 27, a three-day official visit to Azerbaijan. The purpose of the trip is to discuss strengthening cooperation in the fields of transport, logistics, information technology, social welfare, education, industry, tourism, energy, trade and banking sector.
Dombrovskis will hold talks with senior officials of the state and along with the issues of the economy, will also discuss the development of political relations.
Dombrovskis is escorted by more than 80 Latvian businessmen who are involved with it in the bilateral business forum in Baku.
Note that in 2011, the bilateral trade amounted to EUR 27 million, exceeding the previous year by 45%. At the same time, Latvia exported goods to Azerbaijan at 18.1 million euros. -06D-
