Aliyev Approves New Composition of Council of State Support to NGOs
Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the appointment of members of the Council of State Support to NGOs.
From government agencies the appointed Board members are: Vusal Guliyev - head of a sector at the Administration of the President;
Ilgar Mammadov - head of the registration and notary control of the Ministry of Justice;
Zakir Hajiyev - deputy head of the Finance Department.
From NGOs the Board includes:
Sahib Mammadov - League for the Protection of Labor Rights of Citizens;
Nargiz Eyvazov - Azerbaijani Youth Association for European Integration
Emin Hasanli - Association of Retired Military for Youth Education
Rufiz Gonagov - Association Center for International Relations Studies
Azay Guliyev - Association Center for International Cooperation
Shahin Ismayilov - Union of Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations
Anar Khalilov - Association Healthy Development and Education
Alimammad Nuriyev – Constitution Research Fund
Note that once again the Council does not include representatives of independent NGOs.
In addition, experts of the State Support Council were commonly used by the prosecutor's office during the criminal prosecution of dozens of NGOs, when they gave the corollary the necessary conclusion of so-called "financial irregularities" on the part of their colleagues. -06D--

During search and operational activities, on January 30 at 11:20, 16.4 kg of drugs were discovered and seized in the area of the "Geytapa" border post, located on the Iran-Azerbaijan border. According to the Azerbaijan Border Service, this prevented an attempt to smuggle into Azerbaijan 11.3 kg of marijuana, 5.1 kg of opium, and 1,990 methadone M-40 pills from Iran.
