Another Landslide in Village of Badamdar
Baku / 09.01.20 / Turan: This morning, a landslide again occurred on the Badamdar highway, which is in the upland part of the capital.
“A landslide mass about 100 meters wide has moved towards the highway between the Badamdar village and the 20th Section,” said Aziz Garalov, head of the exploration service of the Ministry of Ecology. This is approximately the area where there was already a landslide in 2018. According to Garalov, in fact, this is the activation of the previous landslide.
The descended land blocked the asphalt road and a lot of land is approaching the restaurant located nearby. There are no residential buildings in this area.
According to Garalov, the activation of landslide processes is facilitated by the lack of a sewer system in houses that are chaotically built on the slope. Tension in the landslide zone persists and new landslides are possible in other areas, experts say.
Recall that after the landslide of 2018, experts from Japan were invited, but the public does not know how their work ended.—06D-
