Arbitrary Arrests Ruin State Budget – Lawyer
The lawyer Asabali Mustafayev met with a member of the Youth Committee of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) Islam Sahiboglu arrested in the administrative order in the Binagadi prison on November 26.
As Mustafayev wrote on his page on Facebook, the activist maintains pep and passed greetings to friends.
As for the official version of the arrest, then, as the lawyer said, it is like a "broken record". The young man allegedly came out of the house into the street, loudly expressing obscene abuse, and when the police officer called him to order, he disobeyed. This is a typical accusation put forward to youth activists for their administrative detention.
The lawyer on Monday will submit an appeal against the arrest with a view to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights.
"It seems that the government wants to spend the money of next year's budget for the payment of compensation prescribed by the European Court," Mustafayev noted with a piece of sarcasm.
Recall that on November 24 on six complaints from Azerbaijan against administrative arrests ECHR appointed monetary sanctions on 78,000 Euros to be paid by the Azerbaijani government. It is noteworthy that the lawyer Mustafayev was the legal representative of all the six applicants to ECHR. -06D--

Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
