Baku / 17.07.17 / Turan: Lawyer, public figure Aslan Ismayilov initiated the laying of a park in the upland part of Baku near the seaside boulevard across the road opposite the "Ferris wheel".
"This initiative does not pursue any commercial and political goal, and everything is done only for the improvement of Baku," Ismayilov said in a special video posted on his Facebook page.
On the once abandoned wasteland, terraces are laid and hundreds of trees are sprinkled with a drip irrigation system.
"I urge everyone to do so. Instead of spending thousands of rubles on pompous weddings, celebrations, wake ceremonies, I call for funding the parks,"said the lawyer.
Ismayilov's initiative was supported orally by state structures, but was not legally formalized. This does not frighten the initiator, who at his own expense landscaped a vacant lot of 3 hectares.
"I am sure that Azerbaijanis will support this initiative, which in the future will become the norm of life," said Ismayilov, who is ready to equip the neighboring area.When asked by Turan how the social network responded to his initiative, the lawyer replied: "I received hundreds of questions on how to implement this, which should be taken into account by the state." -0-
