Baku / 28.04.17 / Turan: On April 28, the Baku court on Grave Crimes at the trial of the Nardaran-2 case heard evidence of the district police inspector Yusif Gurbanov, who was recognized by the investigation as injured.
Let us recall that the figurants of the case are the deputy chairman of the Movement Muslim Unity Elchin Gasimov and 11 other believers.
Gasimov was arrested in November 2015, and later he was accused of trying to seize power, terrorism, etc.
Another 10 people were arrested on similar charges: Agha Yakhyaev, Mahir Gahramanov, Seifaddin Shirvanov, Ramil Aliyev, Farhad Muradov, Elgun Akhundov, Vusal Alysh, Seymur Aslanov, Ali Shahbazov, Amirali Aliyev and Isa Ibrahimov.
During the meeting the testimony was given by the district inspector of the 14th police precinct of the Sabunchu district Yusif Gurbanov.
According to him, he, along with another police officer, was on service November 5, 2015, near a mosque in the Mashtaga settlement. Gasimov, coming out of the mosque, began to insult them. When the police tried to appease Gasimov, he began to insult the authorities aloud.
The policeman admitted that he had not suffered any physical injuries, and he does not consider himself injured.
In turn, Gasimov said that the policeman is telling a lie, because that day he was not at the mosque at all.
"You have a little conscience and you do not recognize yourself as a victim. At the "confrontation" in the grave crimes department, you yourself said that if you decided, you would let me go. Therefore, be honest to the end and tell the whole truth," said the accused.
Gasimov said he was detained not at the mosque, but was taken from the house, and this was done by other policemen.
At the same time, the victim was confused and could not clearly answer the questions of the lawyers and the accused.
The judge Mail Bayramov tried several times to complete the interrogation of the victim. However, the defendants and lawyers protested against this.
Another injured policeman, Emin Babayev, did not appear at the trial, and the judge postponed the hearing until May 5. -35B06-
