Attempt to Smuggle Weapons from Russia Foiled
An attempt to illegally traffic arms and ammunition to Azerbaijan was foiled. The press service at the State Customs Samur checkpoint said upon examining a Toyota Camry with Russian number 565 O 70 MP RUS, a undeclared gun and 8 rubber bullets were discovered on Russian citizen Hajibala Mammadov.
In addition, in a Mercedes Benz 0403 bus, a machine gun GIETCHER UZM was found along with 8 GIETCHER gas cylinders of Taiwanese production, belonging to a Azerbaijani citizen Seyfaddin Gahramanov. The case is under investigation.
