AZAL Investigates Behavior of Civilian Aircraft Commander
Baku / 13.01.20 / Turan: The commander of the AZAL airline airliner left the cockpit several times to go into the passenger compartment and talk with a friend.
Information on the behavior of the pilot Tahir Zarbaliyev, which caused discontent among passengers on the Baku-Moscow flight, is published on the Russian website lenta.ru. There is also a video shot by a passenger, which shows how the pilot Zarbaliyev, standing in the business class cabin, jokes loudly and talks familiarly with a passenger.
According to eyewitnesses, during the flight, the liner fell into turbulence, but this did not prevent the ship's commander from leaving the service cabin.
The head of the press service of AZAL Pasha Kesamansky told Turan that an official investigation is being conducted of the published information and video. Following the investigation, measures will be taken.
The head of the press service said that the aircraft can fly in autopilot mode; however, there are instructions that are mandatory for pilots. An investigation will show the legitimacy of the actions of the ship's commander. —0-
