Charity Concert in Aid of Earthquake Victims in Iran
A charity concert in aid of earthquake victims in Iran was arranged in the Rashid Behbudov Theatre on August 27. It was supported by the public association Eurasia. The singer, Tunzala Agayeva, was a top performer at the concert.
As the head of Eurasia, MP Ganira Pashayeva said the funds raised from the concert will be transferred through the Azerbaijan Red Crescent to the earthquake victims.
The earthquake in the Iranian province of Eastern Azerbaijan, according to official figures, killed 306 and wounded more than three thousand people, and destroyed hundreds of villages on August 11. -03B04-

During search and operational activities, on January 30 at 11:20, 16.4 kg of drugs were discovered and seized in the area of the "Geytapa" border post, located on the Iran-Azerbaijan border. According to the Azerbaijan Border Service, this prevented an attempt to smuggle into Azerbaijan 11.3 kg of marijuana, 5.1 kg of opium, and 1,990 methadone M-40 pills from Iran.
