Coronavirus infection rates remain low
Baku/06.04.22/Turan: 38 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Azerbaijan over the past day. At the same time, 59 people were cured, and one died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said on Wednesday. The total number of infected people was 792,141 cases.
782,143 people have been cured and 9,701 have died. The number of active patients today is 297. 5,230 tests were performed per day. Also, 10,301 people were vaccinated during the day. The first dose was given to 601, the second to 823, and three or more to 8,282.
The total number of vaccinations was 13,513,935. The first dose was received by 5,328,620, the second - by 4,829,985, and three or more - by 3,123,615 people. Booster dose after a positive test result - 231,715 people. -02D-

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony. The invitation, delivered by Member of the European Parliament Michael Bloss at the COP29 climate conference, comes as Ibadoglu remains under house arrest and prohibited from leaving Azerbaijan.
