Detained Large Consignment of Heroin Brought from Iran

Customs officers at the frontier point Sinig Korpu on the border with Georgia found a large consignment (69 kg) of heroin in a truck.

As the press-service of the Customs said, the trailer truck was heading from Iran to Georgia via Azerbaijan. The car was ruled by a Turkish citizen Ates Rifat Ahmed.

When checking, at the bottom of the trailer there were found 116 packages of heroin weighing 69 6 kg. The investigation is underway.

Recall that in the summer of 2014 on the same route there was the biggest party of liquid heroin disguised as a liquid soap. Then the shipment passed through entire Azerbaijan was arrested by the customs officials in Georgia. -02D-
