Dissatisfied residents of the village of Gala protest
Baku/05.11.18/Turan: A group of residents of the Gala village of the Khazar region are unhappy with the demolition of their houses for a long time. On November 5, residents held a protest in the Khasahun settlement. More than 150 residents have blocked the main road, demanding that to inform society about their problem. However, the quick response police officers who arrived at the scene stopped the action. Disgruntled residents say that they have been living in this territory for almost 20 years. Most of them are displaced people. A resident of the Kelbajar region Nadir Aliguliyev says that so far there have been no problems with their houses. During the election campaign in Milli Majlis, the candidates promised to solve the problem with the documentation on the house.
"The head of state also talked about this several times. The deputies said that the Milli Majlis had already solved this problem. However, last week a warning came from the Baku Police Department that our houses are illegal. We are being called into the office with documents for the house. How could illegal building be erected in Baku; it is not possible to put a stone on a stone without permission, because all power representatives will come at once. All the houses in the massif have official addresses, electricity, water, and gas are paid for which monthly payments are made "There is a polling station where we are registered. How, then, are our homes illegal?", a resident is outraged. The massif itself is located between the Absheron and Khazar districts of the capital. "We want this issue to be finally resolved," says a resident.
Residents claim that they need up to 10,000 manat to obtain documents for the house. "We don"t have the opportunity to give that kind of money. The authorities said they would have documentation on the houses. Either let them give us the documents, or let us give our lands and our houses," residents say. Dissatisfied residents decided to apply in connection with their problems the executive power of the Khazar region, the head of state, the ombudsman. If the issue is not resolved, they will again start the protests.-- 0--
