International training to improve the capacity of border guards
In the framework of the joint project of the UN Development Programme, the European Union and the State Border Service (SBS) of Azerbaijan "Better coordination in protecting land borders of Azerbaijan and Georgia" national exercises were held on April 11-13. According to the UN representation in Azerbaijan, during the exercise on the theme "Defining the needs of border agencies for various office areas in the framework of sector qualifications" participated experts and officers of the SBS headquarters, UNDP staff mission in Azerbaijan and project workers.
Experts from Austria and Romania have identified various areas required for professional abilities, talked about the advanced technologies in this field.
At the end of the training participants were awarded certificates.—06d--

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
