Iranian media announces the Azerbaijani writers "spies"
The Iranian press called the young Azerbaijani poet Farid Hussein and Shahriyar Hajizade, arrested on May 2 in Iran, "spies."
Iran distorted their ethnicity, and called them “Azeri spies” and the campaign in Azerbaijan to defend their rights, as "the protection of spies."
* Poets arrived in Iran on April 29 to participate in a festival of poetry. On May 2, they disappeared in Tabriz, and a few days later, it became known that they were arrested. In late June, Iran said that poets are accused of spying for Israel.—05D06-
