Is a deficit of women waiting Azerbaijan?
Baku / 10.04.18 / Turan: Since the beginning of the year, the population of Azerbaijan has grown by 13,387 people, or, as of March 1, 9,911,472 people, stated the report of the State Statistics Committee of April 10.
According to the same source, 52.9% of the population live in cities, and 47.1% live in the countryside.
Out of the total population, 50.1% are women, 49.9% are men. Currently, there are 1004 women per 1,000 men.
In January-February this year, 23 331 newborns were born in the country, or approximately 395 a day.
Currently, there are 112 boys for every 100 girls born.
For January-February of 2018 in the country were registered 10,500 deaths.
For two months of the current year, 8,065 marriages and 2,883 divorces have been registered. -0-

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony.
