Solving socio-economic problems in the pandemic, organizing a new academic year, and ineffective use of budget funds are the topics of today's media.

The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the solution of socio-economic problems in the pandemic. About 5 million people are covered by the social package. Both the public and private sectors employ 1 million 600 people.

It was decided to continue paying 190 manats in August as well. So far, 280 million manats have been spent in this direction. Under the paid public works program, the number of jobs has been increased to 90,000, of which 38,000 are permanent jobs.

Compared to the same period last year, 4,000 families were involved in the targeted social assistance program.

Over 7,000 IDPs and 1,500 families of martyrs will be provided with housing.

The website Modern.az discusses the issue of opening schools for the new academic year. So far, no instructions have been sent to the Ministry of Education on this issue. The author writes that the experience of other countries in the pandemic is now being studied. It is being discussed in what form the training will take place in the new academic year.

The website Yeniavaz.com reports that the winner of the tender “Transportation of technical and drinking water” of the rehabilitation hospital of the Ministry of Health is the company ANTEK-20 LLC. According to the results of the tender, the company will transport 17 433 tons of industrial water.

Thus, the hospital will pay the company 78,448 manats, and the transportation of 1 ton of technical water will cost 4 manats and 50 gapiks. The hospital will also receive 3,910 tons of drinking water, that is, it will pay 19,550 manats, although 1 ton of drinking water costs 5 manats. These prices are 13-14 times higher than the cost of drinking water (AZN 0.35), which Azersu OJSC sells to the population.

ANTEK-20 LLC was registered in December 2019, and in February 2020 the hospital held the tender.  –0-----
