The successes of Azerbaijan in 2020, the reasons for not recognizing diplomas obtained during distance learning, the denial of antiviral vaccines, and Russia's violation of the statement on Karabakh signed on November 10, are topics of today's media.
The website Yenisabah.az discusses with experts the reasons for not recognizing diplomas obtained as a result of distance learning. According to the experts, distance learning in Azerbaijan is enshrined in law. In addition, Azerbaijan has joined the conventions on the recognition of the country's diplomas abroad. However, some serious issues outlined in the Convention are not being implemented.
According to the experts, diplomas should be recognized, with the exception of such specific specialties as jurisprudence and medicine, and diplomas of universities included in the top 1,000 of the world ranking should be directly recognized.
Currently, only 17% of the country's citizens have higher education, so the recognition of diplomas should be simplified to create a competitive environment in the labor market.
The website Azpolitika.info.az writes that the Armenian militants captured after November 10 should be brought to justice. More than a hundred Armenian militants were taken prisoner on November 29. 30 voluntarily surrendered were handed over to Russian peacekeepers. and 62 militants were sent to Baku.
Lawyer Fuad Agayev believes that those who committed provocations on the territory of Azerbaijan after November 10 cannot be considered prisoners of war. A mechanism must be prepared to resolve the problems of those captured after November 10.
The website Müsavat.com writes that Russia is violating the agreement, as the number of military and civilians sent to Karabakh is growing. According to the agreement reached, the number of Russian troops guarding the Lachin corridor is 1,960. However, their number is growing, which is worrying.
The conduct of full-fledged exercises by the Russian military in Karabakh indicates an excess of their powers, and the non-observance of neutrality by the peacekeepers causes legitimate concern of the Azerbaijani public.
Finally, the peacekeepers are not withdrawing the Armenian armed units from Azerbaijan. Therefore, a greater presence of the Turkish military in the region has become a necessity.
