Medical Department of Justice Ministry denies trauma in human rights activist T.Khasmamedov (UPDATED)

Deputy  head of the Chief Justice Department of the Justice Ministry, Iftikhar Gurbanov, denied information that the human rights activist Khasmamedov cut his veins. In an interview with Turan, he denied  that Khasmamedov was on a  hunger strike.

According to Gurbanov, Khasmamedov went to the emergency room, and is now undergoing tests.

Meanwhile, the investigator did not  given permission to Khasmamedov to meet with relatives  in the prison hospital.

Arrested human rights activist Taleh Khasmamedov was placed to the medical institution of the Justice Ministry after he cut his veins. According to his relatives,  10 days ago he started a hunger strike in jail Ganja in protest against the falsification of the criminal case. Six days later he was transferred to a psychiatric hospital in Mashtaga. On Sunday, he cut his veins in the hospital, and was transferred to the Hospital of Ministry of Justice.

Previously,for 10 days he was not allowed to talk on the phone  his with family and just yesterday he was able to inform relatives about what is happening.

Currently, investigator does not allow Khasmamedov to meet with relatives.

T. Khasmamedov was arrested on  February 24 on charges of disorderly conduct, and was arrested. In the Prison Service refused to comment, just like the  Main Medical Department of Justice.

Khasmamedov  is known for  his human rights work in Goychay-Ujar region, and criticizing local authorities in facebook. Previously, he was brought to justice, and was convicted of human rights work, but two years ago he was pardoned.—06B-
