Meykhana performer Rashad Dagly detained on suspicion of murder
Baku/09.11.22/Turan: Rashad Amirov, known as the performer of meykhana by nickname Rashad Dagly, has been detained on suspicion of murder. Garadagh region prosecutor's office reported that on November 9 at about 5 am the office received information about the murder of Iskender Mehdiyev, born 1979.
During the investigation, there were reasonable suspicions that Mehtiyev was killed by Rashad Amirov (Rashad Dagly), born 1984, with multiple stab wounds during a conflict, based on personal relations.
A criminal case has been opened under Article 120.1 (intentional homicide) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. Rashad Amirov was detained as a suspect and involved in the investigation.
According to local media reports, the reason for the conflict was Mehtiyev's insulting remarks about Amirov. Note that Mehtiyev had previously been convicted on drug trafficking charges and was recently released. -06D-

Well-known Azerbaijani lawyer Aslan Ismayilov has issued a public appeal to Inam Karimov, Chairman of the Supreme Court and the Judicial-Legal Council, calling for urgent reforms in the country's judicial system. During search and operational activities, on January 30 at 11:20, 16.4 kg of drugs were discovered and seized in the area of the "Geytapa" border post, located on the Iran-Azerbaijan border.
