More Buildings Damaged by Earthquake in Lerik
Baku / 01.09.18 / Turan: As a result of the August 28 earthquake in the Lerik region in the south of Azerbaijan, some 150 houses were damaged. Turan was informed about this by Gabil Melikov, Head of the Department for Analysis and Forecasting of Social and Economic Development of the Lerik District Administration.
According to him, more damage was caused to 37 houses, in which large cracks formed. The houses in 75 villages were affected in total.
The Commission of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the district executive power has started work and is inspecting the houses. The calculation of the final amount of damage has not yet been completed. In the coming days, it is expected to provide summary information.
Recall that damage to 120 houses was reported initially.
