Enhanced security measures, police squads and limited access to the courtroom – this way authorities are conducting the trial of the journalist Khadija Ismayilova in the Court of Grave Crimes.
On Friday, July 24, dozens of people, including journalists, public and political figures, as well as foreign diplomats were not allowed into the courtroom, where the preparatory process was starting, chaired by Judge Ramella Allahverdiyeva.
Police and judicial officers did not allow the people to enter the hall, despite the empty seats, which caused protests of the gathered and they clapped and shouted in the corridor, "Khadija!", Turan reported.
At the same time, the police have cordoned off the street and do not admit the people to the windows of the hall. -06B-
