The official newspaper Azerbaijan has published an article on the sustainable development of Azerbaijan, speaking on the economic growth of the country.
Accelerated development of the regions is a key to sustainable development, the author writes, noting that it is the idea of Ilham Aliyev, who shrewdly understood the need for the regions and developed a system of economic reforms. This, in turn, gave impetus to the development of the whole country.
As part of this, reforms were carried out: tax audits were discontinued for two years, the number of licensed activities was reduced, customs duties were decreased, etc.
All this shows that the President of Azerbaijan has calculated the reforms to the economic progress of the country, writes the author.
Azadlig has published an editorial on charges of having links with Gulen supporters.
As is known, the authorities arrested several party activists, accusing them of having links with a religious figure Fethullah Gulen, and the commercial director of the newspaper Faig Amirov was the latest to be arrested.
The editorial board regards it as a link in the chain of provocations of the authorities against the PFPA and the Azadlig newspaper. Until now, many party members and journalists have been arrested on false charges. This is done in order to weaken the PFPA and bind the party’s leader Ali Kerimli to non-existent crimes.
Charges of connection with Gulen supporters are the last bluff of the authorities, who are trying to convince the public of the presence of a religious conspiracy involving the PFPA.
Yeni Musavat writes about the changing color of the river water in the Ismayilli and Agsu regions where drinking water has suddenly become green. Because of this, the inhabitants of the surrounding villages are experiencing serious concern, fearing for their health.
According to unofficial data, the color of the water is the result of the collection of toxic substances and industrial waste into the river Girdman. However, the newspaper does not name specific names of the guilty. ---0----
