Problems of the Residents of the Dormitory of the Factory named after Tagiyev continue
Protest actions in front of the Presidential Administration, the Cabinet of Ministry and the Municipality were held today by the tenants of hostel № 4, belonging to the factory named after Zeynalabdin Tagiyev. This information was given by human rights defender Alekper Mamedov during a press conference at the Media Center.
According to him, the situation is becoming intolerable in the hostel, and the upcoming cold rain forces people to look for a solution to the problem. The hostel remains uninhabitable. "People live in emergency conditions," he said.
It was reported previously that after the earthquake in 2000, the structure was in disrepair. It housed 160 families, 12 families consisting of internally displaced persons. The construction company "Oguz" built a new building for the 160 families. The construction began in 2008 and was completed in May 2012. However, only 80 families were given apartments, while the remaining 80 were in the old dormitory. They fraudulently were made sign a paper stating they refuse to move to new apartments. In turn, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to restore and renovate the building, while the Ministry for Emergency Situations said that the building’s emergency status is questionable. -04С-
