Rescuers: Dead Climbers Were in Tent
Baku / 17.05.18 / Turan: The bodies of three dead climbers were found in the tent and next to it, the head of the search group from the Ministry of Emergency Situations Togrul Mehdiyev told journalists.
According to preliminary estimates, an avalanche covered the climbers during the rest, he said, noting that the bodies were not disfigured despite 4.5 months after their death and are easily recognizable. The rescuers first found Babur Huseynov, then Farida Jebrailzadeh and Namin Bunyadov.
The place of death was established thanks to the found rope, which appeared from under the snow due to active melting in recent days. Nevertheless, the height of snow in the indicated place was 4 meters, the head of the rescue team Anar Alkhanov said.
Recall that the climbers were discovered and removed from the snow on May 16 at 18:00.
After that the bodies were taken to the regional center of Guba for forensic medical examination. After this, the bodies were handed over to their relatives for burial.
According to relatives and friends, Namin Bunyadov will be buried in his homeland in Shamkir, Farida Jebrailzadeh - in Masalli, and Babur Huseynov in the Khatai district of Baku.
Recall that the climbers tried to ascend Mount Tufan on December 23, 2017. Two days later communication with them was lost.
Despite the apparent violations of the mountaineering rules, the assessment of what happened has not been given yet. -02B-
