Saatli residents detained for demanding their rights

Victims of floods in 2010 - a villager from Novruzlu, Saatli, Mirabad Rzayev and his son Mirsaleh were arrested in the building of the district executive today.

They had come to complain about the officials delaying the restoration of their homes. However, there was a conflict between the complainants and the head of the district’s executive power. Then the Rzayevs were physically pressured by the police and arrested.

The Saatli police confirmed the detention of the Rzayevs in a talk with Turan, without naming the cause. The police officer on duty said that the case is being considered by the district prosecutor's office. However, the prosecutor's office told Turan that they were not considering any case of the sort.

34 illegal migrants detected and detained
