SOCAR significantly increased payments to state
During 6 months, 2012 SOCAR paid 674,092,000 AZN to the state budget. The payments increased by 126,145,000 AZN or 23% against the same period last year, reported SOCAR press office.
During this period SOCAR also transferred 77,768,000 to the Social Security Fund. The payments increased by 12,324,000 or 18.8% against the same period last year.
SOCAR has increased payments owing to two factors: high oil prices at the world markets and SOCAR’s additional incomes from the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline operation. Earlier the dividends were transferred to the accounts of the State Oil Fund.—0-
