Snow Collapse Killed Family in Lerik
As a result of a snow collapse on the night of February 23 five members of one family were killed in the Orat village of the Lerik region of Azerbaijan.
According to the executive power of the district, the mother, the father and three children were killed. The names of the victims are not reported.
Note that the mountainous Lerik region is a place where snowfalls were the most intensive ones this year. For example, on some days in January and February snow depth reached up to one meter there. The sharp warming in recent days has caused active melting of snow and avalanches. -02D-
