Student Admission Marathon Starts in Azerbaijan
Baku / 07.02.18 / Turan: The State Examination Center (SEC) announced the schedule of admission examinations to higher and secondary special educational institutions of Azerbaijan for the school year 2018-2019. According to the press service of the department, the first stage of examinations will be held in the spring: May 13 - for applicants of II and III groups of specialties and May 20 - for entrants of I and IV groups of specialties.
The second stage of the tests will be held in the summer: on July 18 for I and IV groups of specialties, and on July 26 - for II and III groups of specialties. For applicants of the V group of specialties, the exam is scheduled for July 10.
Reception of documents will be held from March 29 to April 30 in electronic form. Applicants should create a Personal Cabinet on the page dim.gov.az, then enter the appropriate login and password, go to the page eservices.dim.gov.az/erizebak/erize, fill in the Applicant"s Application Form and confirm it. Those applicants who noted in their application that they want to participate in both the first and the repeated examinations for I-IV specialty groups should also register from 17 May to 14 June at the page eservices.dim.gov.az/erizebak/erize, by entering their login and password. To participate in this exam, they must replenish their account in the Personal Account. Applicants who did not mark their desire to take part in the first exam will be admitted to the exam without registration.
Graduates of the country's general educational institutions, both current and previous years, can participate in the first and second stages of testing. Some points of the upcoming examination campaign need clarification. As is known, for new entrants, i.е. graduates of this year's school, entrance examinations to universities will be free, but for applicants with experience, participation in both the first and the second round of exams they will be paid. The amount of payment for participation in the exams will be 20 manat. The same rules apply to applicants re-entering colleges, schools and trade schools. They will take the exam in Azerbaijani or Russian languages, mathematics and a foreign language. Graduates of this year are exempt from testing.
It is not known yet whether the SEC has changed the last year's examination fee if one considers that the training materials and materials produced by the center have risen in price because of the rise in prices for paper and printing.
In addition, the dates of admission examinations to the master degree course of higher schools and ANAS and the residency course of Azerbaijan Medical University became known. So, the first stage of tests will be held on February 25, the second stage - June 3, and the residency - on April 1 and July 8 respectively. These exams are also paid, but there is no information on tariff changes in the SEC.
As for final exams in secondary schools and lyceums in Baku and regions of the country, on the basis of general secondary education (grade IX), the first stage is scheduled for March 4, 11 and 18, the second stage - June 21, June 27 and July 3. On the same days, final examinations for pupils of the IX classes will take place. -0-
