Teacher Azizov presented to court a video recording of DAK pressure on the school's leadership
Baku / 15.03.18 / Turan: On March 15, a lawsuit was continued in the Nizami district court of Baku on the suit of Rovshan Azizov , the teacher of secondary school-lyceum N20, who accused the school leadership of illegal dismissal from work.
Today Azizov submitted a video to the judge, published in the Russian press, which recorded the appearance on December 20 of the school of activists of the Karabakh Liberation Movement (KLM) and the demands to dismiss Azizov. KLM insisted on the dismissal of the teacher because he propagated among students the idea of reconciliation of Azerbaijanis and Armenians.
"The judge took the videotape for consideration and appointed a new trial for tomorrow, Thursday," Azizov told Turan agency.
Attacks on him began a week before December 20 last year, during which the KLM launched a campaign against Azizov with threats in the social network and allegations about his Armenian origin. On December 20, activists came to the director's office and exerted pressure on him, demanding to stop the "Armenian propaganda in school by the Armenian teacher". The parents of schoolchildren were also involved in propaganda. The director had to obey, on December 26 he announced to the teacher about his dismissal, explained Azizov.
"The position of the other party is that Azizov violated the educational process and labor discipline, but the teacher did not receive reprimands and warnings from the administration," said public defender of the teacher, human rights defender Dilyar Efendiyev. Azizov claims that the administration of the school did not submit to the court evidence of his violations.
The Education Department of the city of Baku told the press that the leadership of the school-lyceum conducted an internal investigation of the activities and behavior of R.Azizov.
The methodical-pedagogical level and behavior of the teacher were thoroughly studied. The school authorities followed the level of teaching in the classes where Rovshan Azizov is teaching, and presented the corresponding conclusions to the teacher. The administration claims that the teacher did not follow the curriculum, misused the teaching resources, his students did not understand a single standard.
However, the advanced methods of teaching by Rovshan Azizov were encouraged in the programs of the Azerbaijani television, and the children spoke of the teacher with gratitude. See the video here https: https://ru.oxu.az/society/236125
The 35-year-old teacher does not have a lawyer; his teacher's salary is 250 manats a month. The third month after his dismissal, he does not work. "I have nothing to support a family and my five-year-old son," the dismissed teacher told Turan.-0--
