The government is suggested to extend the quarantine regime after April 20
Baku / 15.04.20 / Turan: The special quarantine regime in Azerbaijan in its current form is likely to be extended after April 20.
At a press conference on April 15 the head of the Joint Administration of Territorial Medical Units, Ramin Bayramli, said that this structure, based on an analysis of the epidemiological situation, would apply to the government with a request to extend the quarantine regime.
He did not specify, however, to what period the regime should be extended.
Bayramli stressed that in the future, the subsequent exit from the quarantine regime will be gradual.
He noted that restrictions for the purpose of social isolation would remain for at least a year, as relapses of an outbreak of infection are possible.
According to epidemiological patterns, until the vaccine is found, most of the country's population can become infected with this virus, Bayramli said.
“The relative decrease in the number of cases of infection indicates that the trend is going in a positive direction. However, we did not defeat the virus. Uncertainty remains,” Ibrahim Mammadov, the head of the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, said in turn.
At the same time, he noted after April 20, the reception of Azerbaijani citizens returning from abroad would partially resume.
In accordance with the capabilities of the infrastructure for quarantine, approximately 300-400 people will be admitted weekly. At the same time, Azerbaijani citizens returning from Russia will be accepted as a priority.
The other day, a special portal will be created for them with explanations of the order and sequence of the return of Azerbaijani citizens.
A special quarantine regime has been operating in Azerbaijan since March 24. From April 5 to 20, it was tightened with the introduction of a permit system for leaving the house. –06B

Baku, often called the "Caucasian Dubai," is increasingly known for systematic violations of residents' housing rights. During urban renovations and the construction of elegant new buildings, thousands of families in Azerbaijan’s capital have been unlawfully deprived of their homes. Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
