The heads of the two companies are accused and arrested for fraud with drugs
Baku / 30.04.18 / Turan: The General Directorate for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General's Office conducted an inspection of 11 addresses, including Sanimed and Epidbiomed, the Prosecutor General's Office reported.
The criminal case on the illegal manufacture of medicines against them was initiated on April 27 this year on the basis of materials collected during the search in the offices, warehouses, pharmacies of these companies, as well as apartments and offices of some doctors.
The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office reports that since 2011 a group of officials of both companies imported 19 equivalent items of medicines for the purpose of profit, much higher than the cost of their originals for a total of over 1 million manats.
Having entered into an agreement with almost 100 doctors from private and state structures, they sought the appointment of patients with precisely these medicines. It was also revealed that officials of these institutions for a long time imported drugs of unknown origin that had not been registered with the state. There were 37 names for this amount of 38000 AZN. It was revealed 15385 boxes of medicines, which were withdrawn from circulation.
In "Epidbiomed" LLC there was "black bookkeeping", as well as an amount of 138 thousand manat not paid in cash.
In relation to the officials of these firms: M. Nahiyev, H. Orujev, A. Kerimov, N. Aliyev and K. Mamedov, the measure of restraint was arrest, they are charged under the Articles 308.2 (abuse of office), 200-1.2.2 and 200- 1.2.3 (Illicit Drug Trafficking).-05D-
