The prosecutor called for the long-term conviction of high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Communications
Baku/19.05.17/Turan: The Prosecutor's Office delivered a speech at the Baku Serious Crimes Court on Friday in the case of high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Communications. Prosecutor Farid Nagiyev asked the court to sentence the head of the Ministry of Communications Vidadi Zeynalov to 14 years of imprisonment.
He also proposed appointing Beitulla Huseynov, the former director general of the Baku Telephone Communication Company, 15 years old, Anar Mustafayev, the former chief accountant of the enterprise, for 8 years, the former Director General of Azerpocht LLC Gambar Beibalayev for 10 years, the former director of OOO Optical Communication, construction and installation "Emin Mammadov - 12 years old,
Namazali Mammadov, 12, who was the head of the "Optical Installation" Ministry of Communications.
As for the five persons who worked in positions of responsibility in the same sphere, the prosecutor proposed that a three-year suspended sentence be imposed and released in the courtroom.
The prosecutor also suggested sending the arrested property of the accused to compensate for the damage inflicted on the state. The next court session is scheduled for May 24.
