The villagers are dissatisfied with buildings on the coast
Residents of Nardaran village, unlike the government, respect the private property and do not intend to destroy someone's private property, Turan correspondent was told by the Chairman of the Council of Elders of Nardaran, Natig Karimov, commenting on the statements of the deputy Zeinab Khanlarova, who said that capture of the Caspian coast could cause uprising of the residents of Baku settlements.
Kerimov confirmed the words of Khanlarova on the seizure of the coast and fencing these areas.
According to Karimov , officials seized the coast , and he thanked Khanlarova for raising this issue.
"Sea coast has been illegally seized, and we are for the resolution this issue within the law," said Karimov.
An MP Fazil Gazanfaroghlu also condemned the seizure of the coast on the Apsheron Peninsula.
"I cannot say if people rise or not, but I am against the fencing the coast; I several times raised the issue in parliament," said Gazanfaroghlu.
Another MP, head of the party "Umid", Iqbal Aghazadeh, also condemns the capture of sea coast.
"Zeinab Khanlarova says the truth. In some places the access to the sea for the population is absolutely closed. I also repeatedly raised this issue in parliament," said Aghazadeh.
Tens of kilometers of the coastline to the south of Baku and Absheron have been closed to ordinary citizens. Even the most accessible beaches have been privatized and turned into commercial recreation areas or private villas.
Two years ago residents of several coastal villages held protests demanding demolish barriers and open people's access to the sea. -03B-
