On Thursday, the expected short-term weather changes are expected in Baku and Absheron peninsula, partly cloudy, and northwind will strenthen. On morning of September 6 there will be no precipitation. By evening the wind will weaken. The temperature will be +17 +21 degrees at night, during daytime + 24+ 26 degrees, according to weather forecasters. Sea water temperature in Sumgait, Novkhani, Pirshagi, Nardaran, Bilgah, Zagulba will be +22+ 23 degrees, in Shikh, and Sahil + 24 +25 degrees.
In the mountainous regions of the country short rains with thunderstorms are expected, western wind will blow. The air temperature in the low-lying areas will be +15+ 20 degrees at night, and + 23+ 28 degrees during daytime.

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
