Two Members of Muslim Unity Movement Detained
In the course of a special operation conducted by law enforcement officers and prosecutors in Lankaran two local residents, Gismet Isayev and Vugar Ismayilov were detained.
They are suspected of inciting ethnic and religious hatred, calling for mass disobedience, confrontation with law enforcement agencies, according to the joint statement by the Interior Ministry and Prosecutor General's Office press service.
During the search of their homes and personal search these persons identified themselves as supporters of the movement Muslim Unity headed by Taleh Bagirzadeh. During the search, they were found four hand grenades, 123 cartridges, two TNT blocks, and 18 religious books, the distribution of which is forbidden by the law.
Recall that Bagirzadeh and a group of his supporters were detained during the special operation in the village of Nardaran on November 26, 2015, where 6 people were killed during the shootout. Sixteen members of the movement were arrested and accused of anti-state activities.
Then mass arrests of members of the movement Muslim Unity started across the country. In early February, the Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov informed of the arrest of 68 people in the case. -06D-

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
